Several GTPD officers and members of the GT community take part in movember to help raise awareness about prostate and testicular cancer.
The Georgia Tech Police Department and several members of the Georgia Tech community stood behind GTPD K-9 Officer Zach Bryan after his father passed away recently after a battling bone cancer for the last 5 years and prostate cancer the previous 20 years. Officer Bryan started the mustache epidemic at GTPD and got 29 people to sign up to help raise money to fight prostate and testicular cancer. Officer Bryan is such a loved and respected member of the GTPD family and we could not be happier to stand behind him with our mustached faces of all different varieties. Officer Bryan’s movember team raised $3,477 which ranked them in the top 1000 nationally out of 219,000+ teams. We look forward to increasing awareness, supporting friends and loved ones, and growing some sweet mustaches as we go forward. Look for our hairy upper lips next Movember and remember that if you happen to see something, say something!
